Man, is this thread ever growing. My comments: Canada is a free market economy. Race Face has elected to sell to another dealer, as well as to LBS. So what? It is a business move on their part. I was just at a MEC last night. If you look at their bike line it is pretty basic. The LBS have nothing to worry about from either the bikes or any parts that MEC sells. They have two different client bases. I and my family will continue to buy our high end bikes from a local LBS and have them serviced there. If in the future we want to make a major modification to one of the bikes (new forks, etc) we sure wouldn't go to MEC but will go to our LBS. However, there are other customers who like and use MEC bikes and now they will be able to buy Race Face products at MEC as well. What we are seeing is capitalism at work. MEC has a new product line and Race Face has a new customer. Both will do better because of their working together.

Unfortunately, many kids go back to the programs at COP because the parents use the programs as babysitters. My kid did a program this summer. I wasn't impressed by what was learned so did not send her back.

Thx for info on thread about the 88. Shame that people are bad mouthing a bike that they don't even own. Another rider here in SGC has the 88DH, he, too, is having no issues with the bike, loves it in fact.
